Me Made May 2018 // My most worn items

This year is the 3rd year that I have attempted the Me Made May challenge, organised each year by Zo from the blog "So, Zo...what do you know". Every year I learn a bit more about the gaps in my wardrobe and what I love to wear the most which I will be rounding up in this post. I'd also like to set a year long challenge in preparation for next year. This is more about giving myself a goal to work towards rather than wondering around aimlessly and making things on a whim (although let's face it, this always going to happen!)

Being in Melbourne means that May is the beginnings of the really cold weather so in previous years I found it difficult to uphold my pledge as I realised I had very few warm items. This year I pledged to wear #memade on my non-work days. I work as a vet and am a bit precious about getting my cherished handmades ripped, smelly or stained which unfortunately is a reality in my profession.

The good news is that this year I surprised myself and have managed to wear a handmade item just about every day, including work days. Do not for a second think that my handmade wardrobe is now filled to the brim with cosy items. I realised that I have 2-3 handmade garments which are my favourite and they have been in heavy rotation this month. This is how I have managed to wear me-made most days.

My long sleeve Agnes Top by Tilly and the Buttons. The high quality fabric I bought from Tessuti Fabrics definitely makes this top a winner.

Next year I'd really like to have more pants in my wardrobe, including jeans which are pretty much a uniform for me. I am currently working on a pants block for myself so hopefully once the fit is nailed, I can get cracking on lots of pants!
